Swimming lessons
In July Avery took her first swimming lessons. She had so much fun going each day and learning the basics of swimming. She learned how to kick her legs, make scoops with her hands, back float, hang on to the side of the pool, and climb out of the pool all by herself. She did a great job listening to the teacher. Whenever we had a free moment she loved to climb out of the pool and jump back into me. We had a lot of fun together.

Masons blessing
Levi blessed Mason on August 7th. It was wonderful! The blessing was so special. Many people in the ward commented to me of how nice it was and also how unique. I feel Levi was prompted by the spirit to say the things he said. It was very special and perfect for our little guy!
We were lucky enough to be able to have most of our family here. Hannah and Nik were here for the summer and stayed just long enough to be here for the blessing. Also most of my family were able to be in town for the weekend. It was great seeing them. Avery had a great time playing with her cousins. After they had left every morning she would say Cory Livi Dax? Cory Livi Dax? over and over again. She wanted them to come over and play some more. She had a lot of fun swimming at the hotel they were staying at. I wish we had cousins close by to play with. Here are some pictures from the weekend. I am sad that we didn’t get a picture of everyone that came!
Best cousin picture I got out of at least 15. All I can say is that they are all looking up!
Avery sure is going to miss Uncle Nik and Aunt Hannah

Avery Turned 2
July 6th Avery turned the big two. We had a ton of fun on her birthday. The day started off by letting her pick out her favorite donut from Krispy Kreme. She wanted to wear a Krispy Kreme hat too. Then we went and got some balloons to play with.
We went out to eat for lunch and got her favorite hamburger and french fries from Wendy’s. We played all day long and waited for dad to get home from work. When that finally happened we had family over for cake and ice cream and Avery opened all of her presents. She loved them all. Thank you everyone!!
Avery helping make her cake in her new apron
Playing with balloons and riding her new tricycle
Opening presents
Singing Happy Birthday
Blowing out candles
What is Avery up to?
Avery is in swim lessons right now and she is loving it. Every morning she asks to go swimming.
She likes to do puzzles. She also loves to play hide and seek even though she comes out of her hiding spot before you find her.
Just about everyday she asks to watch Gabba. Which is short for Yo Gabba Gabba.
Avery can sing the ABC's and she can count to 10.
Avery is a little chatter box. No matter what I am doing she is right behind me saying,“Thanks mama”I hear this about 100 times a day. She will also keep saying it until you say “Your welcome Avery.”
She LOVES LOVES LOVES books. We read every book we have everyday and sometimes more than once. We have read some of them so much that Avery reads them to us now! Not that she can read she just has them memorized.
Avery has an amazing memory. When she asks me to do something and I tell her we can do it when dad gets home the first thing I hear when Levi comes through the door is the thing she asked for that morning. She also has a fish game/puzzle she got for her birthday and she can put it together faster than anyone else.
Avery is so loving! She loves to give out hugs and kisses to everyone. The first thing when she wakes up and the last thing before bed she wants to give Mason a kiss. This just melts my heart! We love you Avery and can’t wait to see how you learn and grow this next year!!

4th of July FIREWORKS
Watching the fireworks go off.
Practicing how to hold a sparkler
Avery loved doing it all by herself, but it sure made me nervous. We would tell her to hold her arm out straight then she would get excited and start waving the sparkler around and almost catch her hair on fire!
Waiting for the BOOM!
The man in charge!
So EXCITED for the fireworks!
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays!! I love having a BBQ, swimming, and lighting off fireworks. We had a great time with our family!

Mothers Day
I just got my Mothers Day gift in
the mail. It was late due to the
fact that we didn’t have a name
picked out for Mason yet. Now that
that is solved I got my mothers day
gift. I love it!

Mason update and pictures
Mason A.K.A. THE SNUGGLER is the best baby ever! He is totally the opposite of Avery. If any of you remember Avery in her first six months you probably were thinking can’t they make her be quiet!!! She was very colicky and it probably didn’t help that she was born with a broken collar bone…OUCH! We had to hold her a certain way and bounce her constantly. Mason on the other hand likes to snuggle with us! He hardly cries and when he does that can be resolved by being fed or snuggling. He is a great sleeper. I love him to pieces and can’t get enough of him.
Avery also loves Mason. She asks to hold him about fifty times a day! She is constantly kissing him. Whenever I change his diaper she gets out the changing pad and his diaper and wipes. She is always asking him if he needs a pacifier. Whenever we go anywhere she makes sure that he is coming with us!!(Like we might forget him or something) It is so fun to watch Avery with Mason. She is a great big sister! I hope it stays like this forever!!!
LOVE HIS BLUE EYES!!
