Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny stopped at our house a little bit ago. Avery loved her Easter basket.  Once she saw it on the floor she crawled right for it. She got a lot of Easter eggs filled with cheerios (man that Easter bunny is so smart). She got a bunch of outfits for the summer and she also got a really soft pink fuzzy bunny that she absolutely loves. She sleeps with it just about every night and every nap. Levi and I shared a bag of dove dark chocolates, can we say YUM! Here are some pictures of our Easter.

More Avery Pics

People have been asking for more pictures of Avery, so here they are:

This is a good picture of Avery's little "Monkey Toes." She doesn't have long toes, she just likes to feel things with them and grab whatever she can with her toes. Every once in a while when you pull her out of the tub to dry her off she will be holding a wash cloth with her foot. In this picture she is trying to reach the camera.

Meal time has been getting messier and messier. Even if you get the food in her mouth, Avery likes to put her hands in her mouth and then rub them all over her face. Now the bibs have to be washed after every feeding and you have to take time to wash the food out of her hair. This is also a good example of her scrunched face that she makes when she smiles.

We picked up some sunglasses for Avery because it was pretty bright when we would go out for walks. Sunglasses are hard to keep on. You have to put them on and then distract her immediately with something else to make her forget that she is wearing them.

This is Avery's first experience with a real swing, it didn't go very well. She was okay just sitting in the swing, but as soon as we gave her a push she started crying and tried to get out of it. We are sure that she will enjoy it more as she gets older.

Yet another post about Avery

We are pretty boring and don't have much going on just work work work so I guess I will just have to do another post about Avery! Today Avery is 7 months old. Where does the time go? She is growing so fast. At her 6 month check up she weighed 16 pounds 2 ounces and was 27 inches tall. She can already fit into 12 month clothes, they are a pretty big around but the length is perfect! We started feeding her oatmeal and rice cereal and she loves it. She can down a lot of food quickly as long as she doesn't want to play and blow raspberries when her mouth is full. We have given her a few tastes of food here and there. The faces she makes are hilarious. She loved the mashed potatoes but when I tried her with some banana she dry heaved until it came out of her mouth. I thought kids liked bananas?
In January Avery and I went to Utah for a friend's wedding and Avery was a perfect angel there! She finally has gotten over her colic-i-ness. The last day we were in Utah she cried for four hours straight and I couldn't figure out what was bothering her until we were on the plane home and I saw two little white dots on her gums where teeth had broken through. Those four hours were rough but after that she didn't cry from teething again. Thank goodness it was before the plane ride.
Avery is so much fun to play with. She loves laying on the floor and rolling where ever she wants to go. When she is laying on the floor you can always tell when she wants to be picked up because she does crunches and puts her arms out and she can stay in that position for quite some time. She is going to have a six pack in no time! She can sit up by herself for a little bit then topples over. Avery loves to stand up, with help of course. A lot of people told me that their kids became entranced with shows like Baby Einsteins but Avery will watch a little then go on to other things. The one show she will watch pretty much all of is Wheel of Fortune, except when the commercials come on she gets distracted. She loves all the colors and all the noises that show has. Avery is just so so so much fun and we love her to death if you couldn't tell!

Happy Birthday

My 26th birthday was on January 9th and we had a great time celebrating! Levi made me a great pancake breakfast while I got to play all morning with Avery! We went to lunch at my favorite sandwich shop"Neds Krazy subs" YUM! Then we visited with some family and friends! That night we got the best babysitter in town Peggy(Levi's mom) to watch Avery and we went and saw Avatar! It was full of action plus a love story. We both enjoyed the movie!
We got a giant cupcake pan at a white elephant gift exchange for Christmas so Levi made me a giant cupcake for my birthday. It was so tasty!

Merry Christmas

This Christmas we stayed here and hung out with Levi's family. It was alot of fun to have his whole family in town! It was our first Christmas with Avery and it was a blast. Avery wasn't to into her gifts but she sure loved the wrapping paper. Avery was so spoiled first by her parents, then by grandparents, then by aunts and uncles, then by cousins, and you could never leave out Santa! She got a lot of fun toys and adorable clothes plus money! Here are some pictures from our awesome Christmas!

All the great grandkids putting on the nativity. It sure was tough trying to get a picture of all of them together. There was always one child running back to mom and dad! Good thing Avery had her dad right behind her.

A little late but here is Thanksgiving

This year we went to Utah for Thanksgiving. We were a little worried about the long drive with Avery but she was a champ and did really well in the car and there were not any freak-outs! We saw a couple of friends but mostly hung out with family! My mom makes the best Thanksgiving dinner ever. We had everything you could think of! Levi and I even contributed to the dinner by making Levi's Grandma's recipe of pomegranate salad..........DELICIOUS!

Avery had a good time seeing all of her cousins! I think they liked to see her to. All of Avery's cousins(ages 8 months to 7 years) tried out her Bumbo chair. It was pretty funny, too bad we didn't get any pictures of that.

Levi and my dad did a lot of work on my car. We are so thankful for my dad. He always checks out my car when we visit and he usually ends up doing a lot of maintenance on it. It definitely saves us a lot of money! Thanks Dad!

We saw the movie The Blindside. It was pretty good and funny. The last thing we did was get haircuts and I got my hair dyed DARK! Well dark for me. We did it twice. I wanted a slight tint of red when you saw it in the sun, but it turned out a little purple so the second time we put some more dark in it and it turned out pretty dark. It looked almost black but it has washed out some and I like it.

Reed wanted to hold Avery every chance he could get.

It was chilly in Utah so we had to keep Avery bundled up!
